Born in India, I consider my home to be in the rugged peaks of Jackson Hole and the Hills of the San Francisco Bay Area.
I started my education in the United States at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I double majored in Engineering Physics and Applied Physics. After graduation, I promptly received a scholarship to pursue my graduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I enrolled in the Ph.D. program. Shortly after I started my research, I was offered the opportunity to work from Idaho National Lab as a scientist while finishing my Ph.D. I ended up running experiments at Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory in Stanford, CA and managing several projects in Idaho Falls, ID. Having fallen in love with the Bay Area, I knew that I needed to make it home soon.
I subsequently moved to the Bay Area to start my journey as a product manager at GE Homeland Protection. I was able to quadruple my product line in 2 years, while acting as the manager of corporate strategy to oversee business development and M&A deals. Within 3 years, I was promoted to managing a small team of product managers to deliver best in class products for defense and homeland protection. I continued my product management journey as Director of Product Management at Sentient Energy, where I started the first ever Product Management team and organization. This experience led me to being recruited at GoPro where I was hired to start the first Next-Gen Product Management team.
Aside from work, I enjoy being in nature with my husband and dogs. I split my time between Jackson Hole, WY and San Francisco CA.
